History
Superior Tailgates was born out of a passion for craftsmanship and a desire to carry on a legacy. Inspired by my dad, who taught me the art of powder coating, I learned the value of hard work, precision, and the satisfaction of creating something that lasts. When my dad passed, I took over the small powder coating business including it with my machining business, CDS Machine & Powder Coating LLC, a step that led me on a new journey.
Vision
My introduction to the 5th wheel tailgate industry began when I started powder coating tailgates for Husky Liners. When the company decided to discontinue the 5th wheel tailgate line, as a 5th wheel owner myself, I saw an opportunity and a need in the market. After completing extensive research and development, I launched Superior Tailgates to fill that gap and offer a premium product for truck owners who value durability and quality.
